The best days out start as someone's dream —
we're here to make it happen.
Six things we don't compromise on
AEGM-certified mountain guides only. Never anything less, on any day.
We read the mountain and the weather, make the hard calls, and give you the right tools.
Your level, your pace, your goals. The day is built around you, not a schedule.
We do this because we love the mountains. Sharing them is the best part of the job.
For the rock, the weather and the people. What you need matters more than any summit.
We'll be right beside you, for as long as it takes, so you reach what you came for.
We guide you through the mountains with experience, safety and passion — from your very first steps to advanced technical training. Every outing is tailored to your goals and abilities.
Guided mountain days tailored to your group's level. You enjoy the journey — we take care of safety, the route and the experience.
Technical training to build real skills: from your first ropes outdoors to multi-pitch, trad and self-rescue — taught by guides who teach this for a living.
Immersive climbing weeks in the finest corners of Spain and beyond — guided, all-inclusive, and small enough that everyone gets the attention they deserve.
A route on your list that isn't on ours? A hiking or snowshoe day, a trip abroad, a company outing? Tell us the objective and we'll design it with you.
"I took a beginner's rock climbing course, and both the organization leading up to the session—which clearly outlined everything we needed to bring, the schedule, prices, and meeting point—and the course itself were very professional. Jose is an organized, professional climbing instructor who explains things very clearly (he’s a great teacher) and is very patient. You can tell he’s committed to helping you learn; he explains everything in detail and makes you feel safe at all times. The handout he provides is clear and very helpful when you’re on your own facing the rock and he isn’t there to help you. An experience I recommend 100%!"
"We had an incredible experience with Vert Adventures on our guided Via Ferrata trip! Our guide, Jose, was absolutely wonderful. He was so kind, patient, and encouraging throughout the entire experience, which made us feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. Jose truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a great time and felt safe. His positive attitude and supportive nature made the adventure even more memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend Vert Adventures to anyone looking for an amazing outdoor experience!"
"We had an absolutely fantastic experience climbing with Vert Adventures. From the very beginning, Jose was incredibly friendly, personable, and easy to talk to, which immediately made us feel comfortable and confident. Safety was clearly his top priority at all times, and his professionalism and knowledge really stood out throughout the entire experience. What I appreciated most was how well he actually listened to what we wanted out of the day and adapted the experience accordingly, rather than just following a generic plan. He was encouraging, patient, and supportive the entire time, which made the climbing both fun and rewarding. His knowledge, positive attitude, and ability to tailor the experience created a truly enjoyable day that exceeded our expectations. We learned a lot, felt challenged in a good way, and had a great time throughout. We would very highly recommend Jose to anyone looking for a safe, enjoyable, and memorable climbing experience."
Our base is Catalonia — from the magical verticality of Montserrat to the peaks of the Pyrenees. And when the horizon calls: the Alps, the volcanoes of Ecuador, and the Moroccan Atlas.
The cradle of Catalan climbing: iconic walls, unique rock spires and routes for every level in a magical setting.
From the walls of Vallirana to the Garraf and Gelida — varied rock between the sea, the mountains and the city.
Alpine walls, wild landscapes and mythical summits — from friendly crags to full mountain days.
High-mountain trails, rugged rock and an authentic setting steeped in Berber culture, in the heart of the Atlas.
Towering volcanoes, rainforests and the endless Andes — hiking and climbing routes for all levels.
Majestic peaks, glaciers and world-class climbing — the epicentre of European mountaineering.
Climbing outdoors takes a lot of knowing: which route, which anchor, which weather. As your guides, we'll handle all those problems so you can enjoy your time.
Decission on ropes, anchors, weather, and the call to keep going or turn back. We got those for you. You get the exposure, the movement and the summit, without carrying the weight of what could go wrong.
Your day is built around you - your level, your goals, your pace. When nothing is rushed nor forced, the mountain gives you its best.
First time on rock or fifty routes deep, you'll pick things up as we go - how to move, how to read a line, when to trust your feet. And if you want it properly, our courses take you from following to leading your own routes.
Got a question, an idea, or a summit in mind?
Some people come to us for a day, or for a skill they want to master. Others arrive with a mountain they've been carrying for years — something far from home, or big enough to need a season behind it.
Tell us yours. We'll help you make it happen.
What we do, where we go, and what it takes to come along — from a half day near Barcelona to a week in the Atlas.
Three things, really. Guided days near Barcelona — rock climbing, via ferrata, hiking and ridges — which you can book for a single morning or afternoon. Courses, where you learn the skills to eventually go out on your own. And multi-day camps and retreats, both in Spain and further afield. Everything is led by certified mountain guides, in small groups, with equipment included.
No. Catalunya is our home ground and where most of our day activities happen, but our camps and retreats travel much further — bouldering in Albarracín, sport climbing in Andalucía, and trips to Sardinia, the Moroccan Atlas, Chamonix and Norway on the calendar. If you want the mountains somewhere specific, tell us; a fair number of our trips started as a client's idea.
Not at all. Via ferratas need no climbing experience, and we also guide hiking, ridge days and snowshoeing in the Pyrenees in winter. We run mindfulness and breathwork retreats too, where the movement is walking rather than climbing. Plenty of people who now climb with us regularly arrived through one of those doors.
Catalunya is one of the best climbing regions in Europe, and most of it is within a couple of hours of the city. Montserrat, with its conglomerate spires, is 45 minutes away and the classic destination for multi-pitch. Siurana and Margalef, an hour and a half south, are world-famous sport climbing. There are via ferratas in Centelles and Montserrat, and bouldering in Albarracín further inland.
Yes, for several of our routes. Montserrat is reachable by train and rack railway, and Centelles — home of the longest Nepalese bridge in Europe — sits on the R3 line. Tell us how you're travelling when you book and we'll set the meeting point around public transport and send the exact connections for your date.
Spring and autumn are ideal almost everywhere: mild temperatures, stable weather and rock in good condition. Summer works if you start early or choose shaded and higher routes, and winter is often excellent on sunny south-facing walls. Effectively there's good climbing here all year — the skill is picking the right place for the day, which is a large part of what a local guide brings.
Plenty, and we guide most of it. Via ferratas — protected cable routes that let you move through vertical terrain without climbing experience — are the most popular introduction. There's also hiking and ridge scrambling, snowshoeing in the Pyrenees in winter, and multi-day camps further afield. If you have an idea that isn't on the site, tell us and we'll design the day around it.
A guided day is a single outing, usually a half or full day, near Barcelona. A camp or retreat is several days built around one destination, with accommodation, group meals and coaching folded into one price. Camps give you continuity — your guide sees how you move on day one and builds on it by day four — and they're where most of the friendships happen.
Albarracín for bouldering on Spain's finest sandstone, El Chorro in Andalucía for sport climbing and mental training, and on the calendar for 2027: Sardinia's sea cliffs, Mount Toubkal in the Moroccan Atlas, Chamonix and Norway. Each trip is chosen for a season when that place is genuinely at its best, rather than whenever happens to be convenient.
Yes. Our Wildfulness retreats combine mindfulness and breathwork with real time in nature — walking, snowshoeing and days out in the Pyrenees, Mallorca and beyond. They're led jointly: one specialist for the practice, a certified mountain guide for the mountains. No climbing experience or meditation experience is needed for either half.
Most people do — usually more than half the group. You climb together, eat together and share a guest house, so by the second evening it stops feeling like a group of strangers. Solo bookers are never left at the edge of somebody else's holiday, and plenty of people who arrived alone now come back together.
No. Most people who climb with us have either never touched real rock or only climbed indoors. On a guided day you follow rather than lead, your guide handles every rope system and decision, and you learn as you go. What matters is being reasonably active and comfortable with heights — everything else is teachable, often on the same morning.
A guided climb is a day on real rock with a guide leading — the fastest way to experience a summit. A via ferrata is a route equipped with cable and metal rungs, so you get height and exposure without needing climbing technique; it's the easiest entry point. A course is where you learn the skills yourself, with the goal of eventually being independent.
Reasonably active is enough for most of what we run. If you can walk uphill for half an hour with a small pack, you'll manage a beginner via ferrata, an introductory climbing day or a retreat. Harder routes and multi-day camps ask for more, and each page says so plainly. If you're unsure, message us — we'd rather match you to the right day than have you struggle through the wrong one.
On some activities, yes. Just send us a message to verify. Usually, via ferratas and introductory climbing days work well for children from around six years old, provided they're tall enough to move between rungs and heavy enough for the safety equipment to work as designed. Tell us their ages and we'll tell you which activity fits and whether it's a good idea at all.
Guided days start from around €250 for a via ferrata and €275 for a multi-pitch climb, with the per-person price dropping when there are two or three of you. Camps, retreats and courses are priced separately and shown on their own pages. Every page lists the full price and exactly what's included, with no surprises at the end.
Yes. José, our founder and lead guide, is certified by the AEGM (Spanish Association of Mountain Guides) and holds a UIMLA international mid-mountain guide qualification, and carries full professional liability insurance. Certification isn't a formality in this profession — it's the difference between someone who climbs and someone trained to be responsible for you while you do.
No. All technical equipment — harness, helmet, rope, via ferrata lanyard, crash pads on bouldering camps and anything route-specific — is included on every guided day, course and trip. Bring comfortable clothes and shoes with a decent sole, plus your own climbing shoes if you have them.
We reschedule or refund, no questions asked. Wet rock and steel cable are genuinely unsafe, and thunderstorms are worse — so if the forecast turns we'll contact you in advance rather than hoping for the best. Mountains rule our calendar, not the other way around.
As early as you can, especially for weekends in spring and autumn. Some routes — the via ferratas in Montserrat and Centelles — need access permits with limited daily places, so those genuinely sell out. Camps and retreats fill furthest ahead, and several run with a minimum number of participants, so early bookings are what make them happen at all.
