The Day That Isn't on the Website

Our route pages exist because those are the days we run most often. A large part of what we do every season is built from scratch for one person or one group, and it is how the best days we've had have started.

So if you have something in mind that doesn't appear anywhere on this site, that's not a problem, it's the normal way! Tell us what you're imagining and we'll tell you honestly whether it's realistic, what it would take.

Things People Ask Us For

We propose you several options, so you can see where your idea might fit.

01
A specific route

The Line You've Had in Mind for Years

A classic you read about, a summit you've looked at from below, a route a friend did and wouldn't stop talking about. If it's within reach of your ability and the conditions allow it, we'll take you up it, and if it isn't yet, we'll tell you what would get you there.

02
Groups & celebrations

A Day for a Group of Very Mixed Abilities

Birthdays, stag and hen weekends, reunions, a family with three generations in it. The trick is choosing terrain where a complete beginner and a competent climber can both have a fun day.

03
Companies

A Corporate Day That Isn't Embarrassing

Team days that people actually remember, run properly rather than as a novelty. Climbing, via ferrata, snowshoeing, hiking or a mix, scaled to any group size, with the logistics handled.

04
Other mountains, other seasons

Hiking, Snowshoeing, Ridges, Trips Abroad

As UIMLA mid-mountain guides with a decade of experience across Morocco, Ecuador, the Alps and the Pyrenees, we will be happy to propose you a great adventure! Winter days on snowshoes, long hikes, summit walks, or something further afield.

05
Photography & occasions

Something With a Reason Behind It

A proposal on a summit. A photographer or a movie maker who needs to be somewhere they can't safely get to alone. A milestone birthday on a route that means something. We've done all of these, and we're good at the quiet logistics that make them work.

How It Works

01 — Message us

WhatsApp is easiest. Tell us roughly what you have in mind, how many of you there are, what you've climbed before, and when you're thinking of. Vague is fine — "somewhere with a view, we've never climbed, it's my dad's 60th" is plenty to start with.

02 — We design it

Route, timings, meeting point, contingency if the weather turns, and anything else the day needs. You get a clear plan and a fixed price before you commit to anything.

04 — You climb

All the technical equipment, all the decisions, and a certified guide. You bring shoes and enthusiasm.

Common Questions

What we can and can't do, how pricing works, and what happens when you get in touch.

What's possible
What if I don't know what I want?
That's a completely normal starting point. Tell us who's coming, roughly what you've done before, when you're free and what sort of day appeals — adventurous, scenic, gentle, hard — and we'll suggest two or three options. Most custom days begin exactly this vaguely.
Can you take us anywhere in Catalunya?
Broadly, yes — Montserrat, the Pyrenees, the Prades mountains, the Noguera, the coast, and everything between. If a route needs a permit we'll sort it. If it's outside our usual ground we'll say so honestly rather than take you somewhere we don't know well.
What about abroad?
Possible, and it depends where. José has guided in Morocco, Ecuador, the Alps and the Pyrenees, and we run trips abroad each year. Guiding regulations vary by country, so international requests need a proper conversation before we promise anything — but ask, because the answer is often yes.
Can you do non-climbing days?
Yes. José holds a UIMLA international mid-mountain qualification alongside his AEGM climbing certification, which covers hiking, snowshoeing and mountain days that don't involve ropes. Winter snowshoe days are genuinely lovely and much less booked than people expect.
Is there anything you'll say no to?
Yes, and we'd rather be upfront about it. We'll decline an objective that's unsafe for the group as it stands, a date that's the wrong season for what you're asking, or a plan where the numbers and the terrain don't work together. When we say no we'll explain why and offer something that does work.
Groups
How large a group can you take?
Larger than you'd think, with enough guides. Ratios depend on the activity — a sport crag takes bigger groups than a multi-pitch route — and we bring in additional certified guides for larger bookings. Tell us your numbers and we'll tell you what's realistic.
Our group has very different abilities. Is that a problem?
It's the most common thing we're asked to solve, and it's mostly about venue choice. The right crag has easy routes and hard routes side by side, so a beginner and an experienced climber can spend the day together and both be properly occupied. Give us the range and we'll find the place.
Do you do corporate days?
Yes, and we can handle the parts companies care about: proper invoicing, insurance documentation, risk assessments, and a plan that works for people who've never done anything like it. We'd rather run something people genuinely enjoy than a box-ticking exercise.
Practical
How does pricing work?
You get a fixed quote once we know the objective, the group size and the duration — no hidden extras. The main drivers are how many guides the day needs, how long it is, and whether it involves travel or accommodation. Technical equipment is always included.
How far ahead should I get in touch?
The more notice the better, particularly for weekends, larger groups, anything needing a permit, and the busy autumn and spring periods. That said, we can sometimes arrange something at short notice — it's always worth asking.
What's included?
Your guide, all technical equipment, and the planning. Not included: transport, accommodation, food, personal insurance, and climbing shoes — though we have loan pairs. Anything unusual for your specific day gets spelled out in the quote.
What if the weather turns?
Every custom day is planned with an alternative where one exists, since that's part of what you're paying for. If nothing safe is possible we reschedule or refund in full. We make that call as early as we can, especially if you're travelling.
Am I committing to anything by asking?
No. Message us, describe what you're imagining, and get an honest answer about whether it works and what it costs. Plenty of people ask, think about it, and come back a season later — or decide a course would serve them better first, which is also a good outcome.

Tell us what you'd like to climb

Whatever you have in mind, describe it and we'll tell you honestly whether we can do it and what it would take. No obligation, and usually a reply the same day.
