What You'll Experience

Six days on the sun-drenched limestone of El Chorro - one of Europe's most legendary sport climbing destinations, and the perfect place to break through the ceiling that fear has built for you.

El Chorro is Andalucía at its most vertical: soaring tufa-streaked walls, deep caves, and the world-famous Caminito del Rey clinging to the gorge above. It's the kind of place climbers plan whole winters around - dry, warm, with hundreds of routes across every grade and every style, from short sport pitches to committing multi-pitch adventures.

But this retreat isn't just about the climbing. It's about the climber. Most climbers don't plateau because they lack strength - they plateau because they lack the mental tools to commit above the bolt. Over five days, alongside expert coaching and daily hatha yoga, you'll work through the AAA method - Awareness, Access, Appraisal - a structured framework for understanding, engaging with, and reshaping the fear that holds you back.

Two guides, ten climbers, one house at the foot of the cliffs. You leave a stronger climber - and a calmer one.

Climb your head, not just the rock

The AAA method is a three-part framework that turns fear from a wall you hit into information you can use. Over the week, you'll work through each stage in the yoga room in the morning, then apply it on the rock in the afternoon.

A.

Awareness

Learn to notice what's actually happening in your body and mind when you're above the bolt. The tightness in your breath. The story your inner voice is spinning. Before you can change anything, you have to see it clearly.

A.

Access

Once you can see the fear, learn to stay with it — not fight it, not flee it. Access the sensations and hold your attention there. This is where most climbers grow the fastest, and it's the hardest part.

A.

Appraisal

Now assess: is this fear real information about danger, or is it noise? Learn to distinguish, to trust your training, and to commit. By day five, you'll have led routes that would have shut you down on day one.

Who it's for

Climbers ready to push boundaries

You've climbed indoors regularly and touched real rock a few times. Or, you want to commit to leading outside - but the head game has been getting in the way. Or, your level has plateau but you are strong enough. This camp is designed for exactly those moments in a climber's journey.

Fear is welcome here

The AAA method isn't about pretending you're not scared. It's about learning what to do with the fear when it arrives - because it always arrives. Everyone on this camp, from the strongest red pointer to the newest lead climber, works with the same framework.
